Bartley Isaac Clark
From Staff Reports
__________
An attempt to avoid a roadblock last week led to one person being arrested and a second hospitalized.
Perry County deputies were conducting a driver’s license checkpoint on Clay Hill Road and Gracie Hinton Road on Jan. 31, when a motorcycle with two riders failed to stop. Sheriff Mitch Nobles said deputies pursued the motorcycle on Gracie Hinton Road and the chase ended after the bike wrecked.
Bartley Isaac Clark, 21, of New Augusta, was taken into custody and charged with felony eluding with injuries, as well as reckless driving and resisting arrest.
An unidentified female, who was the passenger on the bike, was transported by ambulance to Forrest General Hospital with minor injuries. No charges were filed against the passenger. As of press time Wednesday, Clark remained in jail in New Augusta.
