Jeremy McSwain making case to be next Perry Co. Sheriff

Jeremy McSwain

Special to The Dispatch
__________

My name is Jeremy McSwain, and I have lived in Perry County for 50 plus years – born and raised here. My father is Reverend Amos McSwain, and my mother is the late Jessie Lee McSwain, and step-mother, Mary Lane McSwain.

I am a member of the Miracle Temples Church of God in Christ. I attended Richton High School to get my diploma. I am the father of three boys and two girls, and I have four grandchildren.

I started my law enforcement career in 2010, when I was hired by the Perry County Sheriff’s Department by Sheriff Jimmy Dale Smith. I worked as a sheriff’s deputy for seven years with Perry County and worked at Richton Police Department for several years. I am the current Chief of Police in the Town of Beaumont.

I, Jeremy McSwain, have signed up to run for Sheriff of Perry County in the 2023 election. I am asking for everyone’s support and vote for Jeremy McSwain to be the next sheriff of Perry County.

If I am elected as your next Sheriff, I will provide the citizens of Perry County with 24/7 service and protection that everyone deserves. As sheriff, I will continue fighting the war on illegal drugs.

My first priority as Sheriff would be to actually look into the cold cases and solve them, with the goal of bringing closure to those families, because those families deserve answers and peace of mind.

We all want to move forward and strive to make Perry County a better place to live, so I am asking all citizens of Perry County to please vote Jeremy McSwain to be your next Sheriff of Perry County.

Thank you all.
