Morrison makes bid to voters for Post 1 Justice Court Judge position
Special to The Dispatch
__________
I, Meka Sigrest Morrison, am pleased to announce my candidacy for Perry County Justice Court Judge, Post 1.
I am a life-long resident of Runnelstown and graduated from Richton High School. I started my career working with the Forrest/Perry County District Attorney’s office in 1995. I also worked with various local attorneys including the Hattiesburg City Prosecutor and the Forrest County
Prosecutor for thirteen years. While working with the Forrest County Prosecutor, I worked with the Forrest County Youth Court, Justice Court, and County Court in various capacities. My experience and knowledge acquired in these fields will enable me to serve the citizens of Perry County.
It is my belief that all judges should decide cases impartially, fairly, free from influence and follow the law, regardless of their own personal views. If elected, I will be that fair and impartial voice for the people.
I am an adamant supporter of term limits as they allow candidates to focus on their job, not their career.
I ask for your support and vote on August 8th as your candidate for Justice Court Judge, District 1.
